We are currently seeking applications from enthusiastic and passionate Educators to join our friendly and supportive team in our Outside of School Hours and Vacation Care Service on a Part Time or Casual basis.
Your Role
As an Educator in the Outside School Hours Care you will supports the OSHC Coordinator in delivering a fun, safe, and engaging program for children attending the service. This role involves actively encouraging children's participation while helping to create an environment that promotes choice, inclusion, and positive development, with a strong focus on child safety and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities may include;
Outside Of School Hours Care
* Assist with programming and the day-to-day organisation of the OSHC service in line with service expectations.
* Support the development and implementation of fun, safe, and stimulating programs that inspire curiosity and a love of learning
* Prioritise children's health, safety, and wellbeing at all times, in accordance with policies, procedures, and the OSHC Supervision Plan.
* Engage children in joyful, educational experiences using intentional teaching and responsive practices.
* Be flexible and responsive to the changing interests, needs, and developmental stages of children.
* Complete program documentation, observations, and records accurately and in line with legislative and service requirements.
* Carry out effective supervision of children and contribute to daily safety checks and risk management processes.
* Complete relevant daily administration duties under the guidance of the Educational Leader or Coordinator.
* Develop positive, respectful, and inclusive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
* Role model appropriate behaviour, implement effective behaviour guidance strategies, and support children's independence and responsibility.
All Canterbury staff are expected to support the school's Anglican ethos and values.
Qualifications
* Hold a current Paid Blue Card
* Hold a relevant Diploma, Certificate III in Early Childhood or related field.
* First-aid and CPR qualified
