We are looking for a client marketing lead who can think strategically and execute relentlessly.
This role owns client marketing end-to-end. From deciding what needs to be built, to briefing clients and internal teams, to doing the work and making sure it ships.
If you're someone who sees gaps, takes initiative, and doesn't wait to be told what to do, keep reading.
About the role
As client marketing lead, you are responsible for the complete marketing delivery for a portfolio of clients. You are client-facing, hands-on, and accountable. You identify what marketing work needs to exist, set the direction, organise delivery, and execute where appropriate.
You are not a coordinator. You are not strategy-only. You own outcomes.
What you'll be responsible for
Owning the marketing relationship with assigned clients end-to-end. You will lead conversations, set direction, manage expectations, and act as the single point of accountability for delivery and outcomes.
By deciding what needs to be done next and initiating work based on customer insights, business goals, and performance, you determine what should be created or changed. You don't wait for instructions or briefs to appear.
Scoping and briefing work with clarity and confidence, you clearly explain to clients what's coming, why it matters, and what outcome it's designed to achieve before any work begins.
Each initiative has a clear body of work, defined scope, success criteria, dependencies, and deadlines. Nothing is vague or open-ended.
With ClickUp's delivery and workflow management, you structure tasks properly, assign owners, sequence deliveries, and keep progress on track so work moves forward without drift.
Basic user-level proficiency in ClickUp is required to manage project delivery and coordinate workflows.
When design, development, or digital support is needed, you brief and direct internal specialists, provide clear, contextual briefs with defined outcomes and timelines, and stay involved through delivery.
Executing the work yourself, where appropriate. If the work involves content, copywriting, messaging, positioning, or core marketing outputs, you create it directly rather than delegating when it's not needed.
This role leads content and copywriting across channels and is centred on content. You write across social, digital, web, print, sales material, and campaign assets, adapting tone and structure to suit the platform, audience, and objective.
You identify and remove blockers when progress stalls due to missing information, client delays, or internal dependencies, and you proactively resolve issues. Escalation is deliberate, not reactive.
We deliver work on time, to standard, with quality, consistency, and momentum. You are accountable for all three.
What we're looking for
Senior-level marketing experience with direct ownership of client relationships and outcomes
A minimum of 3-4 years of senior-level marketing experience is required.
Proven ability to take messy ideas, partial information, or competing priorities and turn them into a clear strategy and practical action
Experience managing marketing delivery end-to-end, not just planning or advising
Confident leading both clients and internal team members, with the authority to set direction and move work forward
Proven experience managing multiple clients or brands at the same time, with the ability to context switch without losing quality or momentum
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex marketing work clearly to clients and translate client needs into precise, actionable direction for internal teams.
Strong organisational skills, with a high level of ownership, follow-through, and accountability
Proven capability in writing marketing content across multiple formats and platforms, including website copy, campaign messaging, long-form and short-form content, and sales or print material
Decision-making authority
You are trusted to make day-to-day marketing decisions for your clients.
You escalate only when decisions materially impact scope, budget, or brand risk.
How success is measured
Clients feel clear, confident, and supported
Work is delivered consistently and to a high standard
Momentum is maintained across all active clients
Delivery issues are anticipated and resolved early
Rework, confusion, and last-minute escalations are minimised
Pace and workload
This role involves managing multiple active clients and parallel workstreams. You'll need to be comfortable prioritising, context switching, and moving forward with imperfect information.
Writing assessment
This role requires strong, senior-level writing skills. Applicants will be asked to complete a short writing task as part of the interview process.
This role is not suited to you if
You prefer being given clear briefs rather than defining the work yourself
You enjoy planning more than executing
You've only worked on a single internal brand and haven't managed multiple clients.
Client engagement and travel
This role involves working directly with Perth-based clients. You will be required to attend in-person meetings and collaborate on-site when needed. A valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle are essential for this role.
