* Salary: $63,194 - $67,979 p.a. plus Superannuation and Salary Sacrifice benefits – AHA2

*This role attracts a fixed allowance that ensures a minimum salary equivalent to AHA2 (third increment) pro-rated, based on the Undertaking as within the Allied Health Professionals, Assistants and Psychologists Enterprise Agreement 2025.

About the Role

Supporting patients through some of their most challenging moments takes genuine care, compassion and commitment. At Northern Adelaide Local Health Network (NALHN), Allied Health Assistants are a valued part of multidisciplinary teams, delivering meaningful, everyday impact to patients and communities across Adelaide's northern suburbs.

This AHA2 role is embedded within acute clinical programs across Lyell McEwin Hospital and Modbury Hospital, working as part of multidisciplinary teams to support timely, patient-centred care.

What You'll Be Doing

* Delivering direct patient support under the direction and supervision of Allied Health Professionals across a range of clinical areas
* Assisting with therapeutic programs, including mobility, exercise, restorative care and activities of daily living to support patient recovery and independence
* Contributing to clinical and non-clinical activities within the Allied Health Division, including supporting service evaluation and improvement
* Preparing therapy environments and equipment to ensure safe, efficient and effective delivery of allied health interventions
* Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and contributing to safe, patient-centred care in line with NALHN standards and SA Health policy
* Building effective relationships with patients, carers, and the multidisciplinary team to support positive health outcomes
* Participating in competency-based training to maintain and develop clinical skills relevant to the role

What You'll Bring

* Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance (or equivalent relevant qualification)
* Demonstrated experience working within a health or community care setting under professional supervision
* Sound understanding of patient confidentiality, manual handling principles, and workplace health and safety obligations
* Clear, respectful communication skills with patients from diverse backgrounds
* Ability to work effectively as part of a busy clinical team and manage competing priorities with composure
* Current or willingness to obtain a SA Working with Children Check (WWCC) and National Police Clearance, as required by SA Health employment standards

About You

In this role you will have strong interpersonal and communication skills which will enable you to successfully problem solve, resolve conflicts and negotiate, including the ability to engage in difficult conversations, whilst building and maintaining relationships. An ability to effectively manage multiple, diverse and competing priorities and demonstrated resilience within a stressful and complex environment is essential to this role.
