As a Machine Learning Engineer specializing in Applied AI/ML for Object Tracking and Sensor Fusion, you will develop next-generation algorithms that power intelligent aerial systems—enabling real-time object tracking, multi-sensor data fusion, and autonomous perception in complex environments.
This unique opportunity blends academic research excellence with real-world impact, offering the chance to work within Australia's largest machine learning research group, the Australian Institute for Machine Learning (AIML), while collaborating directly with Praetorian Aeronautics' cutting-edge technology team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop next-generation algorithms for intelligent aerial systems
* Implement tracking algorithms and multi-sensor fusion techniques
* Work with real-time computing frameworks and embedded AI systems
* Collaborate with researchers and engineers from various disciplines
Requirements:
* Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
* Strong programming skills in C/C++ and Python
* Proficiency in AI/ML frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow
* Experience with real-time computing frameworks and embedded AI systems
* Australian citizenship and ability to meet security vetting criteria
