The Role
We have an opportunity for a School Nurse to join the Health Centre at our Caulfield Campus.
The School Nurse is required to provide first aid and health care management to all students as well as provide support for the overall wellbeing of students whilst abiding by School protocol and procedure when providing first aid and health care management.
This is a Casual opportunity for 2026.
Key Responsibilities
* Assess, treat, and manage all health care issues in an appropriate timeframe
* Administer and supervise appropriate medications within the school's medication guidelines
* Communicate with parents/guardians/boarding house and School staff regarding health care matters of students where appropriate
* Document all health care provision incidents including Accident/Incident Report Forms
* Maintain up-to-date student medical records
* Assist with the maintenance and allocation of medical equipment, first aid kits, supplies & medications, pharmacy orders & accounts
* Assist in School health programmes for students and staff
* Model and live the Caulfield Grammar School values and behaviours
Skills And Qualifications
* Registered Nurse Division 1 qualification
* Employment Working with Children's Check
* Current and relevant certifications in First Aid Certificate / First Aid Management of Anaphylaxis / Management of Asthma Risks and Emergencies in the Workplace would be advantageous
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to the school community (students, parents/guardians, and school staff)
* Strong computer literacy and administrative skills
* Effective organisational skills and ability to use discretion to ensure confidentiality
