About the opportunity

The Sydney School of Architecture, Design and Planning is an internationally acknowledged centre for intellectual, scientific, and creative research. Creatively combining the disciplines of Architecture, Urbanism and Design, we explore how cities, spaces, buildings, technologies, and services can better meet the needs of people and society. Our educators and researchers are experimental, imaginative, and critical, innovating at the boundaries of their disciplines and creating exciting and engaging learning experiences for our students – the global citizens of tomorrow.

The School has long valued creative practice and making within its curriculum in a way that enriches architecture and design practice and techniques. Students in many of our degrees have drawing, photography, and ceramics as available subjects. The School's gallery, Tin Sheds, has an annual program featuring creative work that sits at the intersection between art and architecture practice.

We seek to appoint a Lecturer – Art in Architecture and Design Practice (Education Focused), whose work sits at the intersection of contemporary architecture and artistic practice and who has an outstanding record of practice in this area.
