Westerfeld Engineering is seeking experienced Boilermakers/Fitters to join our team in Pinjarra, Western Australia. This is a full-time position where you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing mining equipment and infrastructure to support our client's operations. As a skilled trades professional, you will use your expertise to contribute to the overall efficiency and productivity of our mining site.
9 Day Fortnights (Mon - Fri) and then (Mon - Thurs) - Weekends Off
Westerfeld Engineering are a mid-sized Engineering Company that services the South West mines of Alcoa and South 32 with the opportunity to also carry out Pilbara Shuts if desired. We are based out of a designated workshop and travel to site for maintenance day to work on fixed plant (Crushers, Stackers, Reclaimers, Conveyors, Transfer Stations, etc)

What you'll be doing
* Perform installation, maintenance, and repair work on a variety of mining equipment and infrastructure
* Fabricate, weld, and fit metal components to industry standards
* Interpret engineering drawings and schematics to carry out tasks accurately
* Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with machinery and equipment
* Collaborate with the wider maintenance team to ensure a safe and efficient work environment
* Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work site
What we're looking for
* Qualified Boilermaker or Fitter with 3+ years of experience in a mining or heavy industrial environment
* Demonstrated ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics
* Proficient in welding, fabrication, and metal fitting techniques
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to diagnose and resolve equipment issues
* Excellent safety awareness and a commitment to upholding safety protocols
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
