About the Victorian Family Preservation and Reunification (FPR) Response
The Victorian Family Preservation and Reunification (FPR) Response is an innovative, evidence‐based program dedicated to working intensively with families to reduce the risk of children entering – or returning to – out‐of‐home care. We deliver fast, coordinated, and wraparound support that strengthens families and transforms futures.
Key Responsibilities
* Build strong, culturally safe, strengths‐based relationships with children and families.
* Deliver intensive assessments, safety planning, and tailored parenting strategies.
* Work collaboratively with partner agencies to create a connected web of support.
* Champion resilience, empowerment, and self‐determination for every family.
Population Served
* Families with unborn Child Protection reports.
* Children aged 0–5.
* Adolescents aged 10–14 with multiple Child Protection reports or orders.
Additional Considerations
Families may be experiencing complex challenges such as early Child Protection involvement, disability‐related care needs, mental health concerns, substance use, family violence, or their own history of being in care.
Your Skills and Experience
* A tertiary qualification in social work, psychology, community services work or equivalent.
* Minimum of two years' experience in case management.
