As our Compliance Field Officer, you'll be the driving force behind ensuring fairness and compliance across the Victorian Construction industry.

We're on an exciting journey: strengthening industry engagement and compliance to protect workers' entitlements and support employers. Your role will be pivotal in making this vision a reality.

What You'll Do

Lead with impact: Act as a subject matter expert on the Construction Industry Long Service Leave Act 1997 and related rules, providing clear and timely advice to internal teams and stakeholders.
Be the go-to problem solver: Conduct complex investigations, gather evidence, draft legal notices, and prepare prosecution briefs to enforce compliance.
Champion compliance and education: Deliver engagement activities to employers, workers, and industry bodies to promote understanding and adherence to the scheme.
Shape the experience: Build strong relationships with stakeholders including employers, unions, TAFEs, industry associations, and government agencies to foster trust and collaboration.

What You'll Bring

A knack for problem-solving and staying calm under pressure.
Strong investigative skills and the ability to analyse complex information.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence and educate diverse audiences.
A strategic mindset with the ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities.

What You'll Need

Experience in compliance, investigations, or a field-based regulatory role.
Understanding of Australian Industrial Relations frameworks and employment legislation.
Ability to interpret and apply legislation and compliance rules accurately
Flexibility to work varied hours, including early starts and overnight travel, to service the Construction industry.
Relevant tertiary qualification (e.g., Law, Accounting, Governance & Compliance, Building) highly regarded.
Current Victorian driver's licence and willingness to travel.
