Advanced Gynaecology Training Position:
This 6-month role offers an advanced trainee the opportunity to work in a dynamic tertiary gynaecology unit providing generalist and subspecialist services. Exceptional surgical exposure, both in volume and complexity of cases, is a key feature.
Position Overview: QEII Jubilee Hospital is one of five major facilities within Metro South Health and provides a broad range of gynaecological services to a diverse community.
Responsibilities:
* Managing patient care for admissions to Gawler Health Service Midwifery Ward
* Providing antenatal care in conjunction with Midwives and assisting with deliveries needing medical input
* Contributing to Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Network committees and reviewing Quality and Safety
Purpose of the Role: This clinical role will allow completion of Essential O&G Skills Advanced Training Module and Sexual and Reproductive Health Advanced Training Pathway (SRH-ATP).
Clinical Experience: The position includes exposure to general obstetric and gynaecology practice as the acute obstetric or gynaecology registrar, including some after-hours duties. Attendance at clinics is required to meet mandatory and elective SRH module requirements.
Professional Development: The Staff Specialist, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, will provide professional guidance and support across Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service. Temporary Fulltime up to 3 years.
