Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinate and deliver nursing education in a team dedicated to Perioperative Nursing.
Our ideal candidate will be responsible for
Facilitating orientation and transition programs for new and casual nursing staff, as well as addressing the ongoing educational needs of existing team members. This will include facilitating learning opportunities, supporting clinical placement of nursing students, and training non-nursing staff such as Operating Theatre Assistants, Wardspersons and Sterilisation Technicians.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Nurse Unit Manager/Nurse Manager and other hospital teams to contribute to the development, implementation, and assessment of specialty-specific clinical education programs. Involvement in developing transition-to-specialty-practice programs that align with ACORN standards and development tools is also expected. Additionally, you will provide clinical supervision at the point of care, emphasizing quality and safety standards across all educational initiatives. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring seamless integration of new staff into our dynamic team while driving excellence in patient care through robust educational strategies.
