We are actively seeking applications for an experienced casual dayshift pick/packer storeman to join our team based in Wyong.
About the roles
Initially, this is a permanent, part time position, but may turn into a permanent full time position
The purpose of the nightshift role is to pick, check and pack customer orders and load delivery vehicles ready for dispatch using safe manual handling procedures and mobile equipment in a timely and effective manner. The nightshift runs from 10.00pm to 6.00am, Sunday to Thursday
Your key responsibilities are:
* Working in a temperature controlled environment (ambient, freezer and chiller);
* Picking and checking outbound stock for deliveries;
* Replenishing stock levels when required;
* Picking, checking and loading outbound transfers for same day deliveries;
* Loading trucks for outbound deliveries;
* Employing correct stock rotation principles at all times, based on 'first in first out' rule;
* Practicing safe and correct manual handling principles at all times;
* Operating mobile equipment;
* Ensure warehouse is neat, clean and tidy;
* Understand and adhere to HACCP regulations;
* Other warehouse duties as assigned by the supervisor.
About you:
* Hold a current and valid forklift licence for at least 12 months with previous forklift experience
* Previous freezer and cold storage experience preferred;
* Experience replenishing stock and picking orders as required, preferably in the food service industry;
* Hard-working, committed and passionate with a can-do attitude;
* Possess a high level of attention to detail and accuracy;
* Good organisational and time management skills;
* Live and breathe safety;
* Able to work in an active and fast paced environment;
* Flexible and adaptable;
