Reporting to the Professional Standards and Safeguarding Manager, the Administration Officer - Safeguarding & HR will provide administrative support to the Professional Standards and Safeguarding Office and the Human Resource Office of the Catholic Diocese of Rockhampton.The Administration Officer - Safeguarding & HR is responsible for:Directing calls made to the Professional Standards & Safeguarding OfficeReceiving and entering safeguarding personnel data into a database efficiently and accuratelyInteracting with and providing information to Diocesan clergy, employees and volunteers as necessaryProcessing Permission to Minister applications and preparing permission lettersAssisting with travel, training bookings and itineraryConducting safe recruitment checks for employees and volunteersExplaining personnel screening requirements to employees and volunteers to increase participationAssisting with advertising as part of recruitment campaignsEscalating any complaints to the relevant managerThe successful candidate will have the following:At least three years’ experience working in an administration roleStrong communication and interpersonal skillsStrong ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalismAbility to effectively manage time and work schedules in an autonomous mannerAbility to accurately enter high volumes of data into a databaseIntermediate competency in the use of Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to work within and uphold the values and mission of the Catholic Church, such as willingness to serve others, treating others with dignity and respect, and being sensitive to the diverse backgrounds of othersCurrent motor vehicle driver’s licenceWhat we offer:Attractive remunerationProfessional development opportunities and study leaveFlexible, supportive work environmentEmployee Assistance ProgramValues-based organisationAs we are committed to the safeguarding of children, young people, and adults at risk, a national criminal history check is required for this role.For further information or a copy of the Position Description, visit https://rok.catholic.net.au/employment/ or email hr@rok.catholic.net.au.
