What You'll Do
As an Apparel Designer for Quiksilver, you'll shape the creation of technically driven, performance‑focused apparel for the region, translating brand direction into innovative product built through fabrication, construction, and fit. You'll work closely with the broader design and product teams to develop apparel that is commercially strong, functionally considered, and true to the brand's identity.
This role is apparel‑first, with graphics and prints supporting the build where relevant, and is ideal for a designer who thrives at the intersection of creativity, technical execution, and innovation ideal for someone driven to create product that performs, endures and elevates the brand.
* Design core and seasonal apparel ranges with strong focus on construction, fit, fabrication, performance, and brand identity.
* Partner with creative, product, development, and regional teams to define seasonal direction and deliver consumer‑relevant, commercially aligned apparel.
* Research trends, markets, competitors, and technical innovations to guide fabrication strategies and manufacturing opportunities.
* Create detailed technical packages, maintain accurate product information systems, and provide clear feedback across prototypes, fittings, colour approvals, and samples.
* Lead and contribute to fit sessions, refining construction methods and ensuring technical integrity and performance.
* Design to cost, identify range gaps, support special make‑up styles, and contribute to presentations, line builds, and seasonal reviews.
What You Bring
* 2+ years of design experience with a portfolio that shows bold, creative, and trend-led work and demonstrated ownership of garment design from concept through production.
* Strong knowledge of fabric technologies, weights, performance finishes, and construction methods.
* Proven experience leading fit sessions and technical garment reviews.
* A solid understanding of costing, margin impacts, and commercial design decision-making.
* A high level of initiative, problem-solving capability, and attention to detail
* Strong Adobe Creative Suite skills (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
* A communicative and collaborative mindset, you thrive when working with others to bring concepts to life.
