About the Role
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will deliver day-to-day maintenance across multiple nearby villages, supporting building upkeep, responding to maintenance requests and assisting with repairs and improvements across the community.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone practical, reliable and confident working across a wide range of maintenance tasks. You will interact regularly with residents, so strong communication skills and a helpful approach are essential.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance across buildings and common areas
* Complete general repairs including carpentry, painting, minor plumbing and other handyman tasks
* Respond to maintenance requests from residents and village teams
* Work across multiple nearby villages when required
* Coordinate contractors and monitor quality of work where needed
* Maintain tools, equipment and maintenance records
* Ensure safe work practices and compliance with workplace health and safety standards
What We're Looking For
* Experience in general maintenance, handyman or property maintenance roles
* A practical problem solver who enjoys hands-on work
* Ability to manage tasks across multiple sites
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills when interacting with residents
* A reliable team player with a proactive approach
* Current driver's licence (required as the role supports multiple villages)
* Physically capable of manual work
* Trade qualification such as carpentry, building or similar
* Experience in retirement living, aged care, hospitality or residential property maintenance
