Financial Manager
The Role: As a Financial Manager, you will be a key part of the Group Finance team, responsible for managing the full accounting function for specific Auto & General Group companies. You will ensure a best practice control environment and seamless delivery to operational Finance functions, contributing to our continued growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely completion of general ledger activities and reconciliations.
* Prepare financial and management (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow statements, and regulatory reports) for senior executives and the Board.
* Prepare General Insurance regulatory returns.
* Prepare financial statements in accordance with AASB requirements.
* Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data across the general ledgers.
* Support and assess new business initiatives, ensuring compliance with financial, regulatory, and reporting requirements.
* Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
* Implement and maintain appropriate financial controls.
* Develop and implement accounting policy and procedures.
* Perform ad hoc tasks and projects as required.
Qualifications & Experience:
* CPA/CA Qualified with at least 6 years' experience in a similar role.
* Prior experience within the Insurance industry, with strong knowledge of APRA standards and AASB insurance contracts requirements, is highly advantageous.
* Advanced Excel and data reconciliation skills with strong experience working in an ERP environment. TM1 and financial modelling experience would be advantageous.
* High attention to detail with a proactive approach.
* Proven experience in process improvements and/or system implementation.
* Excellent communication and influencing skills across all levels.
* Ability to work autonomously and consistently meet deadlines.
* Strong technical Financial Accountant, with hands-on experience preparing statutory accounts.
* Experience coordinating internal and external audits, including preparation of audit schedules and responding to auditor queries.
* Ability to provide leadership, mentoring, and coaching to the Financial Accounting team.
