The Opportunity

The National Transport Coordinator will oversee and facilitate the delivery of all fruit from Mackays Marketing suppliers to their customers, working closely with key Managers. Your goal is to ensure timely delivery of all orders and safeguard contingency plans are in place for weather events and unplanned delays.

Through strong communication and negotiation skills you will deliver smooth transport operations of a variety of channels aiming to maximise efficiency within the business operations.

Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

* Ensure all deliveries are carried out on time in full
* Manage timeslots with transport providers
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with transport providers, suppliers, and growers
* Remain close to the business to keep your fingers on the pulse
* Coordinate daily pick-ups and monitor timeliness and delays
* Work with large retailers and oversee packaging stock management for growers
* Manage pallet control and reconciliation across transport providers and farms

About You

We are keen to hear from you if you possess the following key skills and experience:

* Proven experience in logistics coordination, transport scheduling, and supply chain operations
* Strong relationship management and communication skills in transport, suppliers, and growers
* Well-developed written and verbal communication skills with a wide variety of stakeholders
* Ability to multitask to manage multiple priorities while working autonomously to meet deadlines, and used to working in a fast-paced environment
* Exceptional organisation and coordination skills, with strong attention to detail
* Ideally experience using logistics or ERP systems and general computer proficiency
* Ideally exposure to fresh produce, logistics, supply chain, packaging, or agribusiness
* Experience managing pallet accounts, ideally CHEP and LOSCAM
* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
* Willingness and able to take after hours calls in the event of transport or delivery issues
