Electrical Operations Manager
The Electrical Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating operations within the electrical discipline.
* Provide leadership to personnel assigned to the electrical department, implementing safety procedures.
* Conduct site inspections for unsafe conditions and practices, taking corrective action to rectify breaches.
* Coordinate safety training and enforce safe work practices at all times in conjunction with the Safety Supervisor.
* Champion a zero-accident culture.
* Ensure compliance with safety codes, regulations, and standards within assigned area of responsibility.
* Monitor craft activities to ensure adherence to specifications and schedules.
* Oversee labor costs, schedules, and optimization, maintaining records for labor and equipment.
* Interface with Labor/Industrial Relations for craft recruitment and training programs.
* Review time records using established tools.
* Approve subcontractor equipment/personnel mobilization and demobilization.
* Implement corporate policies, procedures, and instructions within assigned electrical operations.
* Coordinate operational plans.
* Liaise with operations teams to perform work in brownfield areas.
* Communicate with operations on interface work activities.
* Provide input to quantity tracking applications and report weekly installed quantities to Project Controls.
* Prepare material requisitions for tools and consumables and coordinate procurement to obtain these materials.
* Assist with construction testing as required.
* Prepare reports and forecasts, including summary of construction progress, craft personnel forecasts, and expenditures forecasts.
* Plan manpower and equipment requirements to execute the job.
* Perform employee reviews and identify training opportunities for subordinate electrical personnel.
