Electrical Technician - Water Operations
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to join our team in a full-time, permanent position. As an Electrical Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our water and sewer systems.
About the Role:
* Specialize in electrical switchboards, motors, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
* Support the Water Management and Treatment (WMAT) and Water Operations (WOP) teams
* Maintain and update data within the planned maintenance system, including schedules, procedures, work history, and parts usage
* Provide training and guidance to staff on the operation and maintenance of electrical assets
* Assist with installations and equipment upgrades
* Support and maintain Telemetry, SCADA, and instrumentation systems
Requirements:
* An Electrical Trade Certificate
* A Contractor Licence and/or Qualified Supervisors Certificate (Electrician)
* Proven experience as an electrician, ideally within the water industry or a related process driven environment
* Techical expertise in instrumentation and switchboards, large motors, variable speed drives (VSDs), high voltage systems, PLCs, SCADA systems, radio telemetry, and condition based monitoring

Location: The role will be based at our Taree Water Services Depot, Muldoon Street. However, the role will cover our southern area, including Bulahdelah, Hawks Nest, Tea Gardens, and Stroud.
