Overview
Atom Resources are working with a prominent gold explorer who are seeking a junior level Exploration Geologist to join the team initially on contract, operating on a 2/1 FIFO roster ex-Perth. This role may be well suited to candidates who enjoy working in rural areas, in a tight knit team, with opportunity for further progression and potential permanency post contract.
Responsibilities
- Carry out exploration activities and contribute to geological modelling and data interpretation as part of a small team.
- Assist in fieldwork, logging, sampling, and data collection according to project requirements.
- Collaborate with senior geologists and technicians to ensure QA/QC of geological data and interpretations.
Qualifications
- BSc - Geology (or similar)
- Exposure to geological software and database packages
- Experience working with RC/DD and/or AC rigs
- Ability to analyse geological data sets
- Capable of working to QA/QC parameters
- Happy working on a 2/1 site-based roster
- Sound skills working in teams and autonomously
- Working rights in Australia are required
- C class driver's license
