Job Ref: 1368632 Salary details: $70-$80 P/H Plus Superannuation Location: Thursday Island All about my new employer: Our client is a public hospital on Thursday Island servicing not only their local community but also the surrounding Torres Strait Island region.
Thursday Island is known as the administration hub for the Torres Strait.
It is also home to the Indigenous Torres Strait Islanders and is one of 274 islands which lie between the northern tip of Queensland and Papua New Guinea in the Torres Strait.
All about the role You will be required to deliver high level podiatry services to clients with chronic disease and high-risk feet such as amputations, foot ulcerations peripheral neuropathy, peripheral vascular disease and gross foot deformities.
You will work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver level 4 moderate complex inpatient and ambulatory care within the hospital.
The role is multifaceted, including clinical practice, communication, and team participation as well as leadership and work unit management.
The skills and experience I need for this job
- Full AHPRA registration.
- High risk foot and wound experience
- Well developed organisational skills
- Ability to work in a flexible environment.
- Advanced podiatry skills across both inpatient and out patient clinical area
- Experience working in a similar setting will be highly regarded.
