We are currently searching for a full-time Marketing Specialist and Sales Assistant to join our team at Titley's Department Store and Titley's Footwear. As a Marketing Specialist you will be required to advertise our products via social media and other marketing techniques and maintain two websites to a high standard. As a Sales Assistant you will be responsible for supporting our sales teams in our Gill Street stores, inventory management, fulfilling online orders, contributing to achieving sales targets & overall business objectives, and providing exceptional customer service. Our stores trade 7 days a week so you must be available to work every third weekend on a rotating roster. This position will be based in Charters Towers, QLD.
Hours:
* Monday - Friday: 8:35am - 5:10pm
* Saturday: 8:45am - 1:10pm
* Sunday: 9:45am - 1:10pm
(Every third weekend)
Key responsibilities & competencies:
As a Marketing Specialist you will be responsible for:
* Maintaining two websites to a high standard
* Product uploading and management
* Designing graphics for in store and online
* Content creation and social media maintenance (i.e. assessing current trends, product photography, corresponding with customers inquiries, utilising different marketing techniques and platforms, etc.)
* Creating online sales
* Achieving online sales targets
As a Sales Assistant you will be responsible for:
* Assisting with inventory management
* Cash handling and processing payments and returns
* Sales support, up-selling or cross-selling products to customers
* Stocking, merchandising and maintaining the stores overall cleanliness and organisation
* Assisting in training new employees, and supporting other departments or team members as necessary
* Providing excellent customer service by greeting customers, assisting them in finding products, answering questions about merchandise, & handling any complaints or issues they may have.
Relevant experience & skills:
* A willingness to learn
* A dedication to accuracy
* Experience with inventory control processes
* Professional & maintains a positive reputation
* Strong customer service experience is crucial for this role
* Excellent time management, organisational & technical skills
* Strong communication skills, both verbal & written, with the ability to effectively communicate with staff, customers & higher management
* Experience working collaboratively with a team in a fast-paced environment & in roles related to merchandising, inventory management, or visual display
* Experience in marketing preferred but not required
