About this opportunity
Our Sun Valley store in Gladstone is currently looking for a motivated and hard working leader to join and assist leading the store's fruit & veg department.
Reporting directly to the Fruit & Veg Manager, this successful applicant will be responsible for managing a small team, creating rosters, generating orders, completing stock takes and much more.
Working as a part of an enthusiastic team, in a highly competitive supermarket environment, applicants will be expected to demonstrate:
* Fresh food retail knowledge is desired, but not essential
* Ability to lead and manage a team
* Ability to order and control costs
* Accurate team rostering
* Passion and enthusiasm, with a very "hands on" approach
* Unparalleled commitment to customer service
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to liaise with both team members and management
* A flair for merchandising
* Strong leadership and delegation skills
* Ability to coach, train and performance manage teams
