We now have an opportunity for a senior News Producer/Reporter in our Melbournenewsroom.We are looking for a highly experienced person with at least 6 years of experience in broadcast news. Enough about us! What youll do as a Producer/Reporter at 10 News: In this role, you'll be at the forefront of news coverageinvestigating, producing, and delivering high-quality stories that matter. Reporting to the Executive Editor, youll thrive in a fast-paced environment, working both independently and collaboratively to create impactful television news content. Functions will also include: Pitch, research, and produce original, high-quality news stories for broadcast. Work under tight deadlines to deliver clear, accurate, and engaging TV news content. Report live with confidence on breaking news events. Take the lead on complex news stories, from concept to broadcast with minimal supervision. Proactively source and line up stories, ensuring comprehensive and dynamic coverage. Cover other newsroom roles as required. Actively contribute to editorial decisions, finding stories that are relevant to our viewers Manage time pressures and be able to meet multiple daily deadlines What are we looking for in this role? Whats important? Strong news judgment and a deep understanding of the TV news landscape. Exceptional communication skillsboth on-air and behind the scenes. Ability to work under pressure and make quick, accurate editorial decisions. Proven track record in television news reporting. In-depth knowledge of local, national, and international current affairs. Proficiency in non-linear editing systems, with experience in TV news production. Flexibility to work across different shifts, including weekends, to meet newsroom demands.
