About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated educator to join our team as a TAFE Teacher in Electrotechnology. As a TAFE Teacher, you will have the opportunity to impart your extensive industry knowledge and experience to students using a variety of delivery methods including in the classroom, online, and workplace.
This is an exciting permanent full-time position available to join our Educational Delivery team in Electrotechnology at TAFE Queensland's Ipswich Campus. You will have the opportunity to influence the careers of future industry persons by sharing your expertise with students in a classroom or other educational setting.
The successful applicant will have the ability to provide high-quality teaching and learning experiences for students, as well as contribute to the development of curriculum materials and assessments. They will also be expected to maintain currency and competency in their area of expertise and to model best practice in vocational education and training.
Key Responsibilities:
* Teach and assess students in the Electrotechnology discipline using a range of delivery methods
* Develop and implement curriculum materials and assessments that meet the needs of students and industry
* Maintain currency and competency in the Electrotechnology discipline through ongoing professional development
* Contribute to the development of innovative and effective teaching and learning strategies
* Model best practice in vocational education and training and contribute to the growth and development of the team
Requirements:
* Applicants must possess UEE30811 Certificate III in Electrotechnology, and the following: current industry skills directly relevant to the training and assessment being provided; current knowledge and skills in vocational training and learning that informs the training and assessment provided; evidence of undertaking professional development in the fields of the knowledge and practice of vocational training, learning and assessment including competency-based training and assessment; current Queensland Driver's licence
* A higher-level qualification in adult education (approved by TAFE Queensland)
* Industry experience and qualifications in Automation are highly regarded
Desirable Skills and Qualifications:
* Experience or qualifications in Automation
* White Card
* High level of digital literacy skills across various platforms (online Learning Management Systems)
