About the Role
Curtin University has an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Senior Advisor to join our Employee Wellbeing Team in a full‑time, permanent position As part of our People and Culture team, you will inspire staff to embrace Curtin's vision of becoming a leading Global University and proudly contribute to achieving that goal. You will work in a vibrant, open‑plan office where our customer‑focused People and Culture team collaborates to support a diverse range of stakeholders across the university.
Key Responsibilities
* Co‑create and lead wellbeing initiatives and activities for the University
* Assist in reviewing our existing Wellbeing Strategy, in line with our University's overarching Strategic Plan
* Assist in the management of non‑work‑related illnesses/matters
* Relationship management with employees and leaders and a range of external providers, including our Employee Assistance Provider (EAP)
* Work closely with the HR Business Partnering team, and the Health and Safety and Injury Management team
* Support and drive initiatives and events with our internal Employee Wellbeing Champion network
* Case management
* Develop return to work plans
* Coordinate and support accessibility requests/requirements
* Arrange independent medical examinations (as/when required)
* Coordinate special leave requests
* Coordinate training (facilitated by an external provider) for Mental Health First Aid
* Produce regular reports
* Event coordination
Qualifications and Experience
* Completion of a relevant post‑graduate qualification with extensive relevant experience, preferably in Human Resources, Psychology, or Counselling
* Previous experience working in a similar position (most recently) is preferred
* Previous experience working in a People and Culture team is preferred (however not essential)
* Comfortable with presenting to medium to large groups
* Previous experience with driving and implementing employee wellbeing initiatives is preferred
* Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to establish partnerships and build effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
