Serving wood-fired pizzas, fresh pasta, and classic Italian favourites, the restaurant has built a strong local following. We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Restaurant Manager to join our passionate kitchen team and support the continued delivery of high-quality Italian cuisine.
Duties:
* Coordinate and plan menus in consultation with chefs and kitchen staff, taking into account customer preferences, seasonal availability and profitability.
* Oversee, coordinate and organise special functions, events and large group bookings.
* Plan and manage the purchasing, pricing and inventory of food, beverages and restaurant supplies in accordance with budget requirements.
* Monitor stock levels, conduct stocktakes and maintain records of inventory, sales and financial transactions.
* Ensure compliance with food safety standards, health regulations and workplace health and safety requirements, and maintain the restaurant, dining and kitchen areas to a high standard of cleanliness and presentation.
* Manage daily restaurant operations, including rostering staff, supervising service periods and ensuring efficient workflow.
* Recruit, train, supervise and evaluate restaurant staff to maintain high levels of customer service and operational performance.
* Liaise with customers to obtain feedback, resolve complaints and continuously improve the overall dining experience.
* Promote the restaurant through local marketing initiatives, community engagement and special events to increase brand awareness and patronage.
* Manage reservations, greet guests, oversee seating arrangements and ensure customers receive professional and efficient service.
* Monitor revenue, expenses and profitability and prepare operational reports for management.
* Ensure excellent customer service standards are maintained at all times and that the restaurant operates efficiently and profitably.
Requirements:
* AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma. At least 3 years of relevant experience may substitute for these formal qualifications and requirements.
* At least 3 years' experience managing a restaurant and working in the hospitality industry.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and during busy dining periods in the restaurant
* Organisation and time management skills are essential to the overall operations of the restaurant- Proficient management and leadership skills
* Conflict and dispute resolution skills encouraged

Salary: $75,000 - $80,000 per year.
