In this entry‐level role, you'll support the accuracy and reliability of day‐to‐day processes while working closely with others to maintain solid financial controls. It's a hands‐on environment where you'll gain exposure to real operational accounting tasks and start developing confidence in the fundamentals of the profession.
This is also a chance to contribute to timely and compliant financial reporting and grow your operational accounting capability through practical experience. You'll be involved in activities across month‐end, stock takes, banking, reconciliations and customer transactions, all while building the skills that will support your future career in finance.
Responsibilities
* Assist with month‐end activities including journals, schedules and reconciliations under guidance.
* Support statutory reporting by preparing information for audits and compliance needs.
* Maintain accurate documentation to ensure transparency and auditability.
* Assist with daily banking and cash book processing following set procedures.
* Support bank and cash reconciliations and elevate discrepancies when required.
* Respond to banking queries from internal stakeholders under guidance.
* Assist with customer credit and refund requests in line with finance controls and delegations.
* Ensure correct documentation and approvals for all credit and refund transactions.
* Maintain accurate records of credit and refund activity to support reconciliation and audit requirements.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Commerce, majoring in Accounting.
* Embarking on or working towards membership of CPA.
* Proficient MS Office skills.
* Analytical and problem‐solving skills and ability to think critically.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
