**About the Role**
We are seeking a motivated and experienced **Manager, People Operations** to lead a dynamic team within our **People and Culture (P&C)**division. Reporting to the **Director, People Services**, you will be in a team of leaders responsible for overseeing People Services, ensuring compliance, and delivering a seamless employee experience.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Lead and develop the People Operations function to provide high-quality HR services.
- Lead a high-performing team in an empowering, supportive environment
- Oversee employment contracts, payroll, entitlements, and position changes.
- Ensure HR transactions are accurate and compliant with legislation and standards.
- Proactively manage a quality assurance and compliance program
- Manage issues and escalations, feed lessons into process and knowledge
- Manage incremental improvements to enhance service, efficiency and compliance.
- Drive service excellence by coaching a dedicated customer-focused team
- Provide HR advice to managers and employees on policies and agreements.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders across People & Culture and the University.
**What you will bring**:
- Experience managing HR processes, systems and service delivery in a complex environment.
- Extensive generalist HR experience with a relevant degree
- Detailed understanding of employment and tax obligations
- Proficiency with Awards, contracts, entitlements, compensation and benefits
- Proven ability to lead and develop teams, fostering a culture of trust and learning.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and data-driven decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Experience delivering excellent HR shared services.
**Role Requirements**:
- As this is a continuing (permanent) role, you will require permanent work rights in Australia to be considered.
