GPS Electrical Services is seeking a motivated Apprentice Sheet Metal Worker to join our Fabrication Team.
This is a hands-on trade where you can learn practical skills, work with metal, and build a long-term career.

We partner with clients across manufacturing, utilities, renewables, and infrastructure to deliver high-quality electrical maintenance, installation, automation, and systems integration work.
What you'll be doingLearning to operate and maintain fabrication equipment (guillotines, folders, grinders, saws).
Gaining welding experience across aluminium, stainless steel, and mild steel.Assisting with fabrication, fitting, and assembly of sheet metal components.Preparing and finishing fabricated parts, including painting and surface treatments.Reading workshop drawings and following safe work practices.Working on diverse projects in-house and occasionally in office.
What we're looking forA willingness to learn and follow instruction.Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.Reliability, punctuality, and a genuine interest in the trade.Ability to work independently and in a team environment.Physically capable of handling tools and materials.Victorian driver's licence (provisional or higher).
Eligible to commence or already enrolled in a recognised Sheet Metal / Engineering Fabrication apprenticeship.
