As a recruiter partnering with this business, we're excited to present an opportunity for an experienced Structural Steel Detailer with strong Tekla Structures expertise to join their Sunshine Coast–based team.
This is a fantastic chance to step into a role where you'll work on diverse, technically challenging projects within a collaborative and supportive environment. You'll be a key contributor, using your expertise to deliver precise drawings and documentation while working closely with engineers, project managers, and fabrication teams.
The Role
* Produce detailed fabrication drawings using Tekla Structures
* Interpret architectural and structural documentation with accuracy
* Manage multiple residential and commercial drafting projects end-to-end
* Generate NC data, shop drawings, and fabrication reports
* Maintain drawing registers and ensure compliance with standards
* Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams to resolve queries
* Attend project meetings and site visits as required
* Mentor and support junior drafters when needed
About You
* Demonstrated experience in structural steel detailing (residential and commercial)
* Strong proficiency in Tekla Structures and AutoCAD
* Ability to confidently interpret engineering and architectural drawings
* High attention to detail and problem-solving capability
* Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach
* Ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities
* Current Driver's Licence and White Card (or willingness to obtain)
Desirable Experience
* Background in steel fabrication across varied project types
* Relevant trade or tertiary qualifications
* Experience within the residential construction sector
