The Opportunity
We are reaching out to interested and motivated finance officers who wish to be considered for employment at the Shire. This is an expression of interest only and successful candidates will join a Pool of staff that we may draw on for future employment opportunities.
Responsibilities
* Finance Officers are responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records to ensure the smooth operation of the Shire's financial systems. This role involves recording daily financial transactions, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, preparing basic financial reports and other finance tasks.
* Recording financial transactions
* Responding to enquiries from stakeholders
* Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable
* Supporting Payroll and Rates
* Quarterly stocktake of inventory
* Assisting with internal and external audits and governance reviews as requested

Pool details
This pool will be open for a period of 12 months; casual appointments may also be offered as vacancies arise; however an appointment is not guaranteed.
Salary and Benefits
Working for SWEK includes a competitive annual salary range (inclusive of allowances and superannuation, dependent on skills and experience). Benefits may include:
