SONORA Foods Pty Ltd located in Regional Victoria, produces and supplies Australian-made Corn Chips, Tortillas, Chapatis and Wraps.
We are a leading food manufacturer, specialising in an extensive range of products. We are seeking to appoint an energetic, motivated and self-driven person to join our Maintenance Team who are responsible in managing an extensive range of equipment.
This is predominantly a hands-on role, with some administrative duties performed weekly. The successful candidate will be part of a team who ensures that mechanical maintenance and breakdown services are performed efficiently and in line with company expectations.
This role requires the successful candidate to liaise with sub-contractors and the food production team, thereby collaborating to minimise downtime and increase productivity.
Roles and Responsibilities
* Actively participate in the Planned / Preventive Maintenance Programme
* Line changeovers and Production Maintenance
* Respond to and manage breakdowns in a timely manner
* Diagnostics and fault finding
* Ensure that stoppages, performance issues and breakdowns are addressed and rectified in a safe and timely manner
* Perform routine checks, inspections and preventative works
* Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Hygiene Practices (GHP)
* Problem solve both immediate and long-term issues
The successful candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:
* Previous mechanical maintenance experience in a FCMG production environment
* Automated high-speed filling/packing machine operation and breakdown experience
* Troubleshoot, modify and and improve upon current equipment and processes
* Experience with mechanical and pneumatic systems and automation (conveyors and sortation systems)
* Qualification(s) in Engineering / Mechanical / Fitter / Electrical - Cert 111 preferred, but not essential
* Established work ethic
* Excel in a team environment and function with minimal supervision
* Exhibit ongoing commitment to both Safety and Quality at all times
