Job Title: Female High Intensity Disability Personal Care Worker
This role involves supporting clients with a disability, promoting their independence and social inclusion.
1. Key Responsibilities:
2. Personal Care: Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming and toileting.
3. Active Sleep Over: Overnight support where the worker is required to be awake and available to provide support to the participant for more than two hours during the overnight period.
4. PEG Feeding: Support and assist the client with PEG feeding.
5. Manual Handling: Aid clients with mobility challenges through proper manual handling techniques and assisting with exercises.
6. Community Engagement: Support clients in participating in social, recreational and community activities.
7. Domestic Duties: Assist with light housekeeping duties, meal preparation and maintaining a safe and clean-living environment.
8. Behavioural Management: Handle clients with high behaviours employing appropriate strategies to ensure their safety and well-being including the use of restrictive practices.
9. Provide Direct Care Assistance: To each client in accordance with their service plan and as directed by the coordinator.
10. Ensure Completion of Appropriate Documentation: Relevant information on support provided is to be recorded in client notes.
11. Work with Clients, Family/ Carers, and Other Professionals: To support the client's individual goals.
12. Services: Generally between the hours of 6am-6pm Monday to Friday.
What You Will Need:
* Australian Federal Police Clearance.
* PEG Feeding Experience.
* Current CPR/First Aid Certificate.
* NDIS Workers Screening Check and workers module.
* Current Australian Driver's Licence.
* Reliable Registered and Insured Vehicle Comprehensive Insurance Required.
* Smartphone with Internet Access.
