Role Description
This is an on-site, full-time position for a Speech Therapist based in Perth. The Speech Therapist will assess and deliver evidence-based interventions to clients to improve communication, speech, language, and swallowing needs. Responsibilities include developing and implementing individualized therapy plans, collaborating with caregivers and interdisciplinary teams, and documenting progress accurately. The role may also involve providing education to families and community members to support positive speech and language outcomes.
Qualifications
* Strong clinical skills in speech therapy, including assessment, diagnosis, and intervention planning
* Experience in working with diverse and culturally sensitive populations, including Aboriginal communities
* Proficiency in report writing and maintaining accurate client documentation
* Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills for working with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
* Problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt therapy approaches to individual client needs
* Relevant qualifications in Speech Pathology and current professional registration
* A current driver's license for potential travel within service regions
* Experience in justice/forensic service environments is an advantage
