The Spirituality Ministry of the Sisters of Saint Joseph (MMSM) is seeking a dynamic Sales and Business Development Manager to drive growth and manage our national centralised booking functions.
Following the "whole of ministry" framework, this role is pivotal in ensuring our spirituality and heritage centres expand and evolve to meet the changing needs of those we serve.
You will lead a team dedicated to growing and promoting our services and building strategic partnerships that enhance the sustainability and visibility of the MMSM.
Key Responsibilities: Sales Business Development Strategy: Develop and implement annual business plans to expand centre bookings, programs, and accommodation services Relationship Management: Proactively engage with Catholic Diocese, Catholic schools, parishes, corporate clients, and community groups to foster repeat business Leadership: Lead, inspire and support the sales and bookings team, while actively contributing to the broader Leadership Team and strategic decision-making Pipeline System Management: Oversee the integrity of the RMS booking system and online platforms (e.g., Booking.com, Expedia) to ensure accurate forecasting and reporting Ethos Mission: Model and promote a high performing climate of hospitality, respect, and welcome, aligned with the Josephite spirit Key Requirements: Hospitality Experience: Essential experience within the hospitality industry to manage accommodation services and guest expectations Project Management: Essential experience in managing projects to drive strategic initiatives and service improvements Sales Background: Minimum 5 years' of demonstrated success in Sales and Business Development, including Relationship Management Education: Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field Technical Skills: Demonstrated ability to manage revenue pipelines and experience with booking systems (RMS is highly desirable) Mission Alignment: An authentic commitment to the Purpose, Vision, and Values of the Spirituality Ministry Sector Experience: Previous experience working within Catholic organisations is preferred Compliance: You must hold (or be willing to obtain) a State-based Working With Children Check and a National Police Check.
