The Opportunity

senior, hands-on leadership role
with real ownership and influence.
As Performance Marketing Manager, you'll sit across strategy, execution, client advisory, and people leadership. You'll stay close to the work where it matters — setting direction, diagnosing issues, and stepping in when required — while also leading clients and a performance function within an agency environment. PPC sits at the centre of the role, but success comes from understanding how paid media fits into a broader growth ecosystem that includes SEO, website performance, conversion optimisation, and creative. You'll be trusted to recommend the right solution based on business needs, including advising against paid ads when they are not the best first step.
You'll lead discovery and strategy conversations, act as the primary point of contact for key clients, and run monthly reporting and strategy calls. You'll confidently explain performance, strategic shifts, wins, and challenges, and represent PPC, SEO, and web performance in client conversations even when you're not executing the work yourself.
Internally, you'll work closely with SEO, web development, and design teams, helping set standards, direction, and accountability across the performance function. This role is built for growth and will evolve as the business scales, with increasing ownership, influence, and a growing team reporting into you.
What you'll be responsible for:
* Leading discovery and growth strategy across new and existing clients
* Owning performance outcomes at a business level, not just platform metrics
* Diagnosing underperforming Google and Meta accounts before making changes
* Identifying when websites, messaging, tracking, or technical foundations are limiting performance
* Leading monthly reporting and strategy calls with clients
* Representing SEO, web development, and design work in client conversations
* Managing, mentoring, and developing a performance team within an agency environment
* Coordinating work across departments without micromanaging
* Setting standards, systems, and accountability as the department grows
