Be the face of Emmaus College and play a vital role in delivering efficient and impactful administrative support, handling a diverse range of tasks to ensure the smooth and dynamic operation of the school.

* Location: Emmaus College - Jimboomba (S)
* Start date: Commencing January 2026
* Work hours: 38 hours per week | 8:00 AM – 4:06 PM - 5 days per week during term time (School holidays unpaid)
* Salary: School Officer Level 3 - $34.17/hour + super (School Salary Scale)
* Contract type: Term Time Fixed Term (Until the end of 2026 school year)

About our school

Emmaus College is a Prep to Year 12 co‑educational ecumenical College with an enrolment of over 1,510 students. It fosters Christian unity through its active partnership with the local Anglican, Catholic, Lutheran and Uniting churches. The campus covers 21 hectares in a quiet bushland setting at 48 East Street, Jimboomba, catering for the educational and faith needs of the Jimboomba, Beaudesert and surrounding communities. About the opportunity

The Admin Support Officer (College Receptionist) plays a vital role within our College community. As the first point of contact for students, staff, families and visitors, you will represent the College with professionalism and warmth. This position supports a range of administrative tasks and contributes to the smooth day‑to‑day operations of the front office.

Please note that this is a 38‑hour per week position, working Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 4:06 pm during school term time. The role does not include paid school holidays. Remuneration is aligned with School Officer Level 3, at a rate of $34.17 per hour plus superannuation.


Responsibilities

* Providing a wide range of administrative support to the school leadership team to effectively manage their availability, schedules and appointments.
* Responding to enquiries ensuring accurate and relevant information is provided in a timely manner.
* Assisting in the development, maintenance and operations of administrative systems and databases, recommending improvements as necessary.
* Maintaining stock and issued expendable stores including recording stock levels and the distribution of equipment, delivery dockets, invoices and payment vouchers.
* Establishing and maintaining filing and records management systems, including registers and databases, ensuring easy and on‑time retrieval of information.
* Being the welcoming first point of contact for visitors, parents and callers, ensuring a positive College experience.
* Providing efficient administrative and reception support, including calls, emails, mail, appointments and records.
* Assisting with enrolments, staff and volunteer processes as required.
* Maintaining an organised, tidy and professional reception area.


About you

To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:

* Proficiency in Excel and an understanding of Microsoft Office 365 Suite.
* Providing general administrative support.
* Diary management and the scheduling of activities and appointments at a senior level.
* Maintaining a variety of administrative systems.
* Being responsible for enquiries from a variety of stakeholders and supplying timely information in an engaging way.
* For this position you are not required to be Catholic.


Eligibility and safeguarding requirements

* Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.
* Hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement.
