We have exciting opportunities for suitably experienced Drill Fitters to join our growing team.
This position will be based in our Bendigo workshop, supporting our Victorian drilling operations. Flexible rosters and excellent remuneration are on offer for successful candidates.
Responsibilities
- Conducting in field and workshop repairs, scheduled services, rig builds, and rig rebuilds.
- Diagnosing, testing and adjusting mechanical parts to ensure safe and proper performance of fleet equipment.
- Assisting Star West Drilling management with maintenance planning and scheduling activities.
- Coordinating with fellow maintenance team members to ensure company equipment is maintained at expected standards.
Essential qualifications
- Australian recognised trade certification in Heavy Vehicle Mechanical, Diesel Fitting, or equivalent
- Minimum 2-3 years demonstrable experience in mining / drilling equipment maintenance
- Current Drivers licence (HR Truck Licence Preferred)
- Extensive experience with Boart Longyear (LM Series) Drill Rigs will be highly regarded
- Current Australian work rights (citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work visa)
All applicants progressing to the next stage will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical and functional as well as drug & alcohol screening.
A National Police Clearance will also be required for successful applicants.
