We are partnering with a tier-1 mining services contractor to recruit a supervisor - Non-Process Infrastructure (NPI) for a major copper mine development in Northwest Queensland. This is a 12-month max-term opportunity to join a growing project team during a key construction phase.
Working on a 2/1 roster, you will oversee multi-discipline subcontractors across civil, structural, mechanical and electrical works associated with non-process infrastructure. Depending on your location, the role can be offered on a FIFO roster from Brisbane or Townsville, or on a BIBO/DIDO basis from Northwest Queensland, with full camp accommodation provided.
Reporting to the Senior Project Engineer, you will play a critical role ensuring construction activities are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with project specifications, quality standards and schedule milestones.
Key Responsibilities
• Supervise multi-discipline subcontractors delivering NPI construction works
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements
• Conduct regular site inspections and monitor worksite conditions
• Identify and manage potential risks and hazards on site
• Coordinate works to align with project schedule and milestones
• Deliver pre-starts and toolbox meetings to site teams
• Oversee permitting and high-risk work management processes
• Coordinate plant, equipment and materials for construction activities
• Ensure works are delivered in line with drawings, specifications and standards
• Maintain strong working relationships with contractors and project teams
• Monitor progress and provide daily updates on works and potential delays
• Support project quality requirements and documentation
About you
• Supervisory tickets (S1, S2, S3)
• Risk management qualifications including G2 and G3
• Proven experience supervising construction works within the resources sector
• Strong capability coordinating multi-discipline subcontractor teams
• Sound knowledge of Australian safety legislation and construction standards
• Demonstrated ability to deliver construction works within complex projects
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Effective planning, problem-solving and organisational capability
• Valid Australian driver’s licence and White Card
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
