Overview
The Pharmacy Fill | Dosis Technician picks, labels, scans, and otherwise prepares the finished prescription for final verification by a pharmacist.
Responsibilities
* Pull/pick medications from shelving and other medication storage areas (pre-pack racks)
* Accuracy check of final preparation prior to presenting to the pharmacist
* Fill daily drug orders accurately and efficiently and in a timely and prioritized manner, under the supervision of a pharmacist
* Assist in processing returned drugs and recycle/dispose per procedure
* Assist in pre-packing frequently ordered medications; label and stock as needed during low-volume times
* Package materials and products manually
* Follow all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA
* Maintain clean/organized workstation areas and replenished all stock supplies needed each shift
* Alert the pharmacist on duty of any medication/product that is not scanning properly
* Comply with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code
* Overtime, holidays, and weekends may be required and/or expected
* Other duties as assigned; Job duties may vary depending on business needs
Qualifications
* High School diploma or equivalent required
* Pharmacy technician licenses/certifications required by state regulations and state of practice
* Previous pharmacy experience required (one or more years of long-term care experience preferred)
* Knowledge of brand name/generic medications
* Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English
* Able to work at a moderate speed
* Able to work during inclement weather
* Reliable
* Detail-focused with analytical problem-solving skills
* Able to physically perform light lifting
* Must be able to work various shifts and days

* May sit or stand seven (7) to ten (10) hours per day
* The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, walk, crawl intermittently
* May be necessary to work extended hours as needed
* May lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

HOLIDAY & PTO POLICY
* Paid holidays are provided annually, with 6 days offered each year, along with 5 sick days.
* Employees earn up to 10 PTO days each year, with rollover options and milestone bonuses.
* Employees have the option to cash out up to 10 PTO hours each quarter for added financial flexibility.
Please note, because we are a pharmacy most of our locations are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and therefore schedules may change as determined by the needs of the business.
