We're a litigation firm based on the Sunshine Coast. We handle serious disputes: commercial litigation, building and construction, property, civil matters - for business owners, developers, athletes, professionals, and individuals who need someone in their corner.
We're small (4 lawyers, 3 support staff) but growing quickly. Our clients treat us like trusted advisors, not just hired guns. We treat them like humans, not file numbers.
And here's the thing: we finish work at reasonable hours. We take lunch breaks. We don't glorify the 70-hour week. Good work doesn't require burning out.
The Role
Manage matters from initial instructions through to resolution (court, mediation, negotiation - whatever gets the result)
Work directly with clients, develop case strategies, draft court documents, and appear in court
Supervise a junior lawyer and work with support staff
Collaborate with colleagues and barristers when matters need it
Have genuine responsibility and the freedom to practice the way you think is right
You'll be client-facing, strategic, and hands-on.
What We're Looking For
Has 3+ years PAE in litigation with direct client management experience
Can quickly identify what a matter is really about and build strategy around it
Enjoys building relationships with clients and actually likes people
Wants autonomy but knows when to collaborate
Is looking for somewhere to grow.
You don't need to be a someone who lives for the law. We want someone with drive who also understands that life exists outside the office.

What You'll Actually Be Doing Day-to-Day
Meeting clients, taking instructions, and figuring out what they actually need (not always what they think they need)
Developing case theories and strategies that serve your client's real interests
Drafting pleadings, correspondence, and submissions
Appearing in court, mediations, and negotiations
Running your files with support from the team - autonomy with backup when you need it
Working in an environment where people actually help each other instead of competing
