About the role
The Family Day Care Coordinator (Child Development Coordinator) is responsible for supporting Family Day Care Educators in providing quality education and care and assisting families in meeting their education and care needs.
In this rewarding role you will:
* Regularly conduct home visits providing monitoring, support and supervision to registered educators and provide relevant reports
* Provide ongoing support and developmental opportunities to educators with the aim of providing high quality childcare
* Assist in the recruitment and training of Family Day Care educators
* Assist in the registration (and associated administration) of families and their children in the service
* Coordinate and monitor the placement of children in care
This is a permanent part-time position, with 24 hours available per week (days flexible). The position is based in Griffith.
This role has been classified under the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Award as a Level 4 with an hourly salary starting at $44.58 Superannuation + Salary Packaging options.
About You
The successful candidate will be dedicated and passionate, with experience working side by side children, young people and their families to improve outcomes.
* Diploma of Children's Services (or equivalent)
* Child Protection Training (CHCPRT025)
* Current Accredited First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Certificates
* Knowledge of Family Day Care
* Previous experience working with people from Indigenous and Culturally Linguistically Diverse backgrounds (desirable)
* Current Working with Children Check for the relevant State or Territory
* Drivers Licence (Recognised in Australia)
* Criminal Record Check is required (Intereach will organise and support with the completion of this, which will be facilitated by our chosen provider)
