Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Payroll and Administration Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timely payment of employees, as well as providing administrative support to the organization.

About the Role:

">

This is a mid-senior level position that requires strong organizational and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent attention to detail and communication skills. The ideal candidate will have experience in payroll processing, award and legislative compliance, and system administration.

">

Main Responsibilities:

">
">
* Accurate and timely input and calculation of payroll data
">
* Ensure all payroll activities align with internal policies, modern awards, enterprise agreements, and ATO/superannuation legislation
">
* Assist with internal and external reporting, including year-end reconciliations, ATO submissions, and superannuation payments
">
* Maintain and update HRIS and payroll system records, support employee onboarding, and troubleshoot system issues as needed
">
* Work closely with Finance, Procurement and People and Capability team members to ensure data alignment, invoice accuracy, and efficient operations
">
">

Required Skills and Qualifications:

">

The ideal candidate will have:

">
">
* A proven track record in payroll processing and administration
">
* Strong working knowledge of payroll legislation, superannuation, taxation, modern awards, and enterprise agreement conditions
">
* Experience with payroll and HRIS platforms, and the confidence to troubleshoot, enter, and audit complex data across systems
">
* Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including the ability to use formulas, filters, and VLOOKUPs
">
* A sound understanding of employment lifecycle processes, including new starter onboarding, leave management, and terminations
">
* Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to data accuracy and compliance
">
* Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain payroll matters clearly to employees and managers
">
* Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative and high-performing team
">
">
