About the Role
At Aurizon's expanding operations in Port Pirie, we are seeking casual Stevedores to join our dynamic team. This is a great opportunity for individuals who want to be part of a growing organization and work with state-of-the-art equipment.
Responsibilities
* Facilitate the loading and discharge of cargo, non-containerised cargo, and bulk products.
* Operate machinery including Gottwald mobile harbour cranes, reach stackers, front end loaders, Skid steers, excavators, forklifts, and light vehicles.
* Drive vehicles on/off Roll-on Roll-off vessels.
* Conduct shipboard and wharf duties, ship loading, lashing, and unlashing, and other general duties.
* Perform basic administrative duties including tally clerking.
* E nsure adherence to loading/unloading schedules.
About You
* Prior experience as a Stevedore or in a related field would be advantageous.
* Ability to obtain Maritime Safety Identification Card (MSIC) – Mandatory.
* Hold relevant tickets or have the ability to obtain: C1 Mobile Harbour Crane, Ships crane, Reach stacker, Forklift, and Dogman.
* Able to work at short notice and be flexible with availability.
* Must be available to work day, afternoon, night shifts, and weekends as required.
* Available to work up to 12-hour shifts (as required).
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* A commitment to safety.
* Must be 18 years or older.
