Job Overview
This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in promoting waste minimisation, reuse and recycling across Suffolk.
You will work closely with stakeholders to develop and deliver communications campaigns that engage residents and Recycling Centre users.
This is a full-time position working five days per week, requiring excellent communication skills, a passion for environmental initiatives and the ability to present to diverse audiences.
Key Responsibilities
* Developing and delivering interactive talks to schools, community groups and other organisations to promote recycling and waste minimisation.
* Creating and implementing a Recycling Centre communications plan with stakeholders.
* Running targeted campaigns, producing communications materials such as leaflets, signage and press releases.
* Managing social media content and engaging with public comments and queries.
* Facilitating customer feedback processes, including surveys and improvement plans.
* Building partnerships with local charities and community groups to promote reuse activities and increase social value.
* Producing reports and data analysis to monitor performance and improve service delivery.
Requirements
To be successful in this role you will need:
* Excellent presentation and communication skills.
* Experience in communications, preferably within an environmental or educational setting.
* Skills in producing clear, engaging written and visual content.
* Organisational skills, with the ability to manage projects independently.
* IT proficiency, with experience using MS Office.
* Customer-focused approach, with the ability to gather feedback and drive continuous improvement.
