Job Description
This role plays a vital part in supporting theatre personnel to prepare the theatre environment for procedures. The successful candidate will work closely with the clinical team, ensuring patient safety and dignity is maintained at all times.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in an Operating Theatre environment and possess strong communication skills to effectively liaise with staff and medical personnel.
* Liaise with Clinical Coordinator and Clinical Nurse, Orthopaedics as a resource for orthopaedic equipment and other technical equipment.
* Certificate III in Operating Theatre Technician Practice or equivalent desirable.
* Recent relevant experience and understanding of issues associated with acute care / perioperative settings.
* Participate in promoting a supportive team environment.
* Carry out duties within Operating Rooms environment.
* Act as a resource for all Operating Rooms staff with regard to orthopaedic surgery.
* Liaise with Clinical Coordinator Orthopaedics and Clinical Nurse Manager in policy and procedure development.
* Maintain excellence in patient care through provision of orthopaedic resources.
* Basic understanding of infection control principles.
* Effective communication skills for liaison with staff and medical personnel.
* Able to carry out duties within Operating Rooms environment.
* Adhere to Ramsay's core values.
