Job Title: Data Services Specialist
We are seeking an experienced professional to fill this exciting opportunity for a Data Services Specialist in our Data and Analytics division.
About the Role:
* This is a hybrid role, offering flexible working arrangements.
* The position will be based in Sydney or Melbourne.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design and develop scalable data engineering assets and feature engineering frameworks to support various business units and internal data science activities.
2. Expand data platform capabilities by identifying, sourcing, and integrating new data to resolve new data problems and challenges.
3. Identify, design, and implement process improvements, such as automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, and re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability.
4. Peer review code, promote DevOps culture within the team, and implement solutions adhering to architecture best practices.
5. Develop ETL solutions using Python, Databricks, Spark, and Microsoft Azure Technology Stack to load data across multiple sources into the Data and Analytics platform, including building ADF framework for data migration to Azure Cloud technologies.
Requirements:
* Solid experience with MS Stack: Microsoft SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, Power BI and SQL.
* Experience working with MongoDB, Graph databases, programming languages (R, Python, Spark ETL SQL VStudio), CI/tools (Bamboo, or similar), GitHub, Jira and Confluence.
* Passionate about learning about new data tools and best practice.
* Strong working knowledge of the end-to-end data management lifecycle and data quality management.
