Type: Full-time, hybrid: min 3days office/2 home

About the Role

The Senior Marketing Manager – ANZ is responsible for leading the end-to-end marketing strategy and execution for the Australia and New Zealand markets. This role drives brand growth, consumer engagement, portfolio performance, and marketing excellence across all channels.

The ideal candidate is a commercially minded marketer with strong experience in FMCG, deep understanding of consumer goods and Australian and New Zealand Retailers, and proven success in managing brands in a competitive retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

Brand & Portfolio Leadership

* Lead the ANZ brand and portfolio strategy, ensuring alignment with global direction and local market needs, including development of annual brand plans, driving Sales, Profit and Share growth.
* Lead innovation launches, brand renovations, and portfolio optimization projects, including the full product portfolio lifecycle, including pack architecture, pricing strategy, and NPD planning. Oversee product development projects and contribute to global/local innovation planning.
* Work closely with Global Innovation Team, PMO team, Finance, and Sales on NPD sizing, forecasts and budget alignment.

Commercial & P&L Ownership

* Oversee brand P&L alongside VP, Sales and Finance leads, drive Revenue Growth Management strategies, leveraging mix, pricing and promotional strategies in conjunction with Head of Commercial, to deliver annual financial targets.
* Oversee P&L ownership for the ANZ marketing function, including strategic investment decisions.
* Track performance KPIs: Net Sales, EBITDA, market share, penetration, media ROI, and brand health metrics.

Consumer Insights & Category Leadership

* Analyze category, brand tracking, U&A, and campaign data to inform decisions and optimize performance. Lead insight-driven decision-making across marketing and trade initiatives.
* Translate consumer, shopper, and market insights into actionable strategies. Partner with Commercial teams to identify growth opportunities and build Go to Market action plans.
* Monitor competitive landscape and market trends to anticipate shifts and adjust plans accordingly.

360 Brand Activation

* Lead campaign development and execution across ATL and BTL. Review campaign performance, creative development, messaging, and media planning with internal teams and agency partners. Ensure high quality execution, brand consistency and compliance across all touchpoints, including digital, social, in-store, e‐commerce, PR, and traditional media.
* Manage media strategy, investment, and performance measurement to maximize ROI.

Ecommerce & Digital Performance

* Oversee ecommerce strategy across Amazon, including investment decisions, digital shelf optimization and tailored portfolio offer.
* Review performance dashboards, SEO analytics, and digital results to improve acquisition and retention.
* Partner with Commercial team to develop and deliver GTM strategy to drive acceleration of Amazon.
* Partner with Commercial team to develop customer-specific 4P activation plans for key retail partners.
* Build and support retailer presentations, trade sell-in decks, and activation calendars. Drive retail media and in-store execution plans to maximize conversion and visibility.
* Support commercial team with recommended ranging & shelving strategy to deliver Trade In, trade up and Across to create joint value with retailers.

New Zealand Specific

* In conjunction with the NAM and Head of Commercial, ensure our NZ distributor is kept up to date with new product and brand information; attend annual planning meetings and retailer range reviews as required.
* Monitoring of performance and development of 4P Action Plans.
* Work closely with the NZ Distributor Marketing Manager to align on A&P investment priorities and strategies, ensuring all creative and communications are in line with approved brand plans and review ROI of campaigns;
* Build partnerships and capabilities in New Zealand to increase CSR activities such as sexual health product donation and sex-ed programs in high-schools

Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

* Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing marketing team: 3 reports
* Collaborate with supply chain, finance, sales, category management, global marketing teams, and external partners.
* Champion an agile, consumer-first, and results-oriented marketing culture.

External, Internal & Stakeholder Engagement

* Represent the brand in retailer meetings, agency briefings, and project steering sessions.
* Manage relationships with industry partners, PR stakeholders, digital providers, and consumer research agencies.
* Frequent Internal exposure to CEO, CGO, CMO and other leadership team members

Key Requirements

Essential Experience & Background

* 10+ years' experience in FMCG brand management or marketing, with at least 3 years in a Marketing Manager role.
* Demonstrated success in managing major brands and delivering commercial results.
* Strong experience in ANZ retail environment, including retailer platforms such as Cart ology, Citrus
* Proven track record in digital marketing, media planning, and integrated campaigns.
* Ecomm + specific Amazon strategy, management and performance metrics
* Experience leading innovation pipelines and product launches, end to end.

Ideal

* Experience in NZ market
* Health / Beauty / Wellness Category experience

Skills

* Leadership capabilities with passion for coaching and team development.
* High level of agility and ability to manage fast pace of PE backed FMCG business with high growth aspirations.
* Ability to translate data and insights into strategic plans.
* Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
* Project management; must be experienced in managing projects, building teams, working with timelines, setting key metrics, and reporting back to the business.
* Strategic and creative thinking: thinking outside the box is encouraged, with a logical approach.
* Skilled in agency management and creative development.
* Hands on Data analysis, ideally Circana, Quantum, IQVIA, Power BI,

Education

* Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field required.
* MBA or postgraduate qualification is a plus.
* Ability to travel (within Australia and occasionally abroad)
* Ability to adapt to global time zones for meetings.
* Must be an Australian resident and be able to work in Australia.
