The locum cardiac sonographer role involves conducting inpatient and outpatient echocardiograms in Bathurst and occasionally in Orange, with an expected workload of 8-10 scans per day. Responsibilities
* Conduct inpatient and outpatient echocardiograms (8-10 per day).
* Perform stress echocardiograms and transesophageal echocardiograms (TOE).
* Collaborate with a cardiologist and support staff while also working independently.
* Travel between Bathurst and Orange, spending one day per week in Orange.
* Adhere to a Monday to Friday schedule with no weekends or on-call responsibilities.
* Follow all department procedures, policies and protocols.
Note: NSW Health credentialing may be required; our team will assist with this.
Qualifications and experience
* Proven experience in performing echocardiograms, including stress echoes and TOE.
* Proficiency with echocardiography machines, preferably GE Vivid S60N.
* Familiarity with reporting software such as IntelliSpace and Health Track.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong communication skills for collaborating with medical staff and patients.
* Flexibility to travel between Bathurst and Orange.
